48:14 was a pretty good haul for early March… for here anyway. Star of my show - an Oak Beauty even though it had bits missing ‘cos it’s my first ever.
As was a Pale Pinion. 2x Brindled Beauty, D.fagella, 4xDS Pug all NFY, 18x Heb Ch, 9 xCmn Q and and and…1/2
It’s a good un!
A test run in a new area- woodland habitat, last night was really for logistical reasons but in 1 ½ hours there were 9 of 5 spp, 5 Cmn Quaker, Dotted Border, Cmn Brindled Brown, Chestnut and this rather lovely fresh Twin-spotted Quaker. Looking forward to a proper session there soon #teammoth

👍🏼 Thanks Clive. I’ve only ever had a couple or three but last year’s was obviously a Dark - this one I wasn’t so sure about
Ooh I know, I like mine at least 85%.
And the chocolate 😁
Did a quick shufty round the garden just now and found an extra nfy- Twin-spot Quaker

Yeh, y’reckon? Thanks… I was about 70% for dark 🍫
I don’t think I’d be happy leaving mine (same rig as yours) ‘cos the land is public but has recently come into shared community ownership/management and it definitely needs a few moth surveys 😁
Thank you, I was really hoping you weren’t going to say something ridiculous like - overnight 😅
I’ll be surveying a similar habitat soon… how long did you give it Clive?
A pair of Chestnuts, one of which is giving me grief as to its proper ID… 🥴
Too worn to be definite? #teammoth
