Data sadist. High quality, high variance, galaxy-brained takes. Urbanism, rage against cruelty and inefficiency, scifi/fantasy, shoegaze, stats and programming. I live in Denver, say hi if you're on Ikon.
Fitter, happier, and more productive
One started running a gas station/auto shop. Was a minister (unpaid). By the time I was born, he was selling life insurance. He is 99 now and my uncle & cousin run his duplex rentals, but he did all the handyman work until 85.
Other one left the Amish and sold men's clothes, and then real estate.
I am just glad this primary campaign is over. Really unhinged "supporters" for both sides when both candidates seem fine, especially compared to the clusterfuck up in Maine
This season of Homeland has definitely jumped the shark.
Hookah is actually GOATed. Hookah > pipe > vape > cigar > cigarette
At least when it comes to Israel. I'm not sure why though, he isn't evangelical which is where most of the craziness on thiss in the US comes from
Vance would be a bad pres and the orange man should spend some time in jail
I feel so seen: a blog post on how damn confusing it is to use numpy:
"As far as I can tell, what people actually do is try random variations until one seems to work."

When do we find out that they all have a mutated, less lethal version of mad cow disease?
Trump just cares about integrity in political journalism.
And Ohio just has a lot more small towns than most other states. They used to have mainline churches, with lots of Elks/Lions/Kiwanas as community nodes. This is lost to China and smartphones, and these places aren't part of the good edpol trends.
Like Michigan, there was a lot of auto industry (not just big 3, but also a web of suppliers) and similar work sites like "100 guys in a small factory in a town of 100k". Machine shops, injection molding. Unionized.
Source: my old man made a career selling benefit plans to small biz there.
Has anyone collected enough internet likes to win the game yet? I'm not even sure I found where the final boss is yet...
Mr Mayor is a handsome man.

Absolution is now mainly obtained by pledging fealty to the death cult, not admitting guilt and making amends.
Getting people who were criminals back into the legal economy is important. Jobs involving children and scheduled drugs is not a great place for a lot of them.
Tbf the GOP governors expressed hostility but the reason it didn't show up in blue states is Dems have more actual hostility and laws against building stuff.
Mindfulness gets portrayed as "think about what your mind is doing" when for cerebral people (me) it's more like "pay attention to your sensations below the neck and out in the world".
Ragebait can slip under the radar for people who only need 10 milliseconds to go from RAGE to "I'm going to fix/correct this"
No, the real lesson from Trump's barrage of scandals, EOs, and illegal actions is there is a fixed amount of opposition bandwidth, and if you do a lot of shit fast, 90% of it will fly under the radar.
Obamacare got drug out for years and only got less popular.
Move fast & fix all the things.
No.
People get here because Jews definitely have one of the best justifications for doing ethnonationalism. Historically oppressed distinct minority that has spent millennia moving across the world. And still the results are BAD.
I might be a music hipster, but book hipsterism? Absolutely not.
Well what do expect when you transmogrify Air into Earth? You get a few lower demons trapped in the output by the Haber & Bosh wizards.
Lmao the post is trying be Sephiroth but it's actually "don't make me give you a sternly-worded talking to"
I am strongly opposed to height limits. Once you've got six stories, from the street the bldg is already at >45Β°, and addtln stories matter less and less. I get narrow streets + tall = shadow, but a bit of setback is the solution. Cozy streets are nice.
> height limits for narrow streets
There is a better way:
Universities' admin needs a salary cap.
Yes.
Universities need to be run by people who care about academic stuff. Like weird beetles.
