don’t start a cool hobby because you will almost certainly be bad at it when you start out, don’t date because you’re still working on yourself and are pudgy or whatever, don’t get involved in the community because you may not get along with everyone right away…

most of current culture is about not doing anything ever because you could hypothetically be imperfect. don’t be a teacher or a doctor because you aren’t superhuman and can’t dedicate your life to your job, don’t be a parent because you aren’t a child life specialist trauma informed researcher etc
