Here, there needs to be someone on the supervisory team who has prev supervised a student to completion. Someone G7 could be lead if they have a more senior colleague as 2nd supervisor. Iβm G7 & have had students apply to work with me but they havenβt been able to come bc of the funding crisis.

Help a Black trans kid afford care
In the face of NHS failings, Isaac and his family need your help to afford trans healthcare.
Please share - and donate if you can!
I'm helping to raise money for Isaac - a Black trans kid seeking vital healthcare in England.
Isaac is lucky enough to have a very supportive family, but they have all been screwed time and time again by the NHS and UK authorities.
Any contribution will help!

Lenten Rosary For Victims of ICE.pdf
I get asked a lot what I'm giving up for Lent, and this year the answer is nothing. this is what I'm doing instead, and I'll tell you why, and you're invited to join in with me however it fits into your own spiritual or contemplative practices.

Book cover: Tales of the Suburbs: LGBTQ+ Lives Behind Net Curtains by John Grindrod. It has an orange border with text in black and yellowy orange and features a black and white photograph of two men embracing each other as they stand in a kitchen.
Front cover of I Will Not Abandon You: Queer Women in Nazi Germany by Samuel Clowes Huneke
A book cover, showing the title 'Belfastmen: An Intimate History of Life before Gay Liberation' by Tom Hulme. It is lavender coloured with yellow text, and shows two men sat on a bench, c. 1935.
Book cover: My Bad: A Personal History of the Queer Nineties and Beyond by Hugh Ryan. The bright yellow cover features a marble stature of two men suggestively wrestling, on top of which sits an unspooling mix tape.
LGBTQ+ History Month (UK) is almost over, but #queerhistory is being made all year round! ππποΈ
Here are just a few fab-looking books that will be published in the coming months by wonderful authors @grindrod.bsky.social, @schuneke.bsky.social, @tomhulme.bsky.social, @hughryan.bsky.social . . . 1/2

Kansas has, overnight, invalidated the driversβ licenses of trans people, a pointless cruelty that upends their lives
If Brits think βit wonβt happen hereβ think again! Groups in the U.K. who want the same thing are routinely invited to consult with Labour and normalised in our press!

Time for one of my perennial lazy historiographical questions: what are we reading on women's associational culture in postwar Britain? (I'm thinking WI etc?) Would love to read something kinda big-picture/conceptual about the gendered cultures of these kinds of orgs.

Having a permanent academic job in 2026 feels both still very precarious, given the state of the sector; and like being on the last lifeboat off the Titanic. Even the job market in which I was hired 2 years ago, four years out from my PhD, no longer exists.
