Yuck
Yuck
I think we need one of them in this household
I survived smoking bus, my next bus seems to have a fully working engineer
On a bus with smoke billowing out of it again. Engineers have examined it and said we can continue, wish me luck
Very distracting, did not like
A 6ft 5 middle aged man telling me he used to live next door, he was a wee boy of 5 or 6 last time I saw him in the mid 1970s and his sister who was with him today was a toddler
Yes I am that old
I've been to a funeral, met people I last spoke to 50 years ago. Weird.
I've had to make phone calls at work today, I don't like making phone calls
We also use donated (if it's something we want). Otherwise I call it dumped and sneak it in the bin
Instead of jail his punishment was the public toilet being locked up
He didn't play for long thankfully, after dancing around he announced he needed the loo and got off
He then started jigging around and announced to the bus that he needed the loo
Someone on this bus is playing a guitar. Why?
Not really any that I'm involved with. Luckily I did get funding to travel for a conference last year
For me it's also distance, London HQ leave everything to the Scottish bit but they only seem to care about public and school libraries. What happened to the online stuff they promised to keep doing after COVID?
Possibly the same organisation I'm considering leaving. I've been a member since 1993 and was very involved in committee work in the early 2000s but I no longer get any value from it
It's cold but sunny in Edinburgh today
A nice crane
My local shop is even closer, my neighbour drives even although it would be quicker to walk. Also he appears to be getting coffee from their machine, doesn't he have a kettle in the kitchen?
I've never eaten fennel! It does have a definite liquorice taste which I love but I know many don't. I also quite like turmeric tea
The location function is key!
I've just drunk a delicious fennel tea
Oh no, there aren't very many working lights on this bus and it's too dark to read my book
I loved the kindle reading experience but wanted to get away from Amazon so it works for me. I mostly read library books on it but I do occasionally buy a book if it's not on Libby
2024, I've forgotten what year we are currently in ๐
I got a Kobo for Christmas 2023 and it's transformed reading for me. No more 99p kindle deals, lots and lots of Libby books downloaded to the kobo
Where is it streaming just now? We missed the last series
Tidied the bookcases, unread paper books, kobo books, kindle books and library books comes to 195 books. Yikes
It was white in south Edinburgh when I left this morning and is indeed snowing in central Edinburgh
