(3/4) Our analysis showed that the highest-density planting in #SnaizeholmeValley was targeted in areas with estimated #soil #carbonstocks around 20 t C ha⁻¹ lower than the unplanted areas. It’s an example of how strategic woodland design can safeguard important soil #carbonstocks.
(2/4) Snaizeholme Valley is one of the largest upland woodland creation projects in the #YorkshireDales, forming a part of the #WhiteRoseForest #NorthernForest. Its carefully planned tree planting is designed to boost #naturerecovery, and #climatechange mitigation benefits at a landscape scale.
