Because failing to have done so before this is going to lead to unimaginable death and suffering.

It is worth remembering that only *one* of these men paid a price for the Access Hollywood recording. And it wasn't the one bragging about sexually assaulting women.
And now we have evidence that that same man raped children. And there is *still* no accountability.
So heβs surrendering without accomplishing any of his stated objectives while declaring victory. Exactly what we said would happen.
The shortest distance between where we are now and entrenched fascism is a terror attack. That is why we are at war with Iran. That is why Trump shrugs at the possibility of deaths on U.S. soil. And that is why Patel fired the FBI's Iranian counter-intel personnel before the first bomb fell.
House Republicans just passed the SAVE America Act, a sweeping voter suppression bill that would make it harder for millions of eligible Americans to vote in the midterms. The Senate can still stop it. Sign the petition and demand a NO vote: peoplefor.org/StopTheSAVEact

Exactly
No, Iran does not possess or operate Tomahawk missiles. Tomahawks are American-made precision-guided cruise missiles used exclusively by the U.S. Navy and a few close allies. I feel like the President of the US should know this!
Jesus Christ. This is so insane. There are zero responsible adults in the Republican Party. Zero.

Open the Books' findings that binge-buying bureaucrats at the Pentagon burned through tens of billions of dollars on impulse purchases, like fruit basket stands, footrests, doughnuts by the dozen, and a custom-made flute, demonstrate how much work still needs to be done to meet that goal."
The waste was staggering. The Pentagon spent over $225 million on furniture alone β the highest amount since 2014. This included $12,000 on fruit basket stands and more than $60,000 on premium Herman Miller chairs.
Graphic reflecting oil volume is down by the most volume in history due to Trumpβs Iran war. It is down by 20 million barrels a day
The Strait of Hormuz carries 20% of the worldβs oil. Trump shut it down with a war no one voted for.
Now YOU pay more for gas, groceries, flights, and everything in between.

Letβs talk about bossware and if you havenβt heard that term yet, hereβs what it is. Bossware is workplace surveillance software. Software that tracks your keystrokes, monitors what websites you visit, takes random screenshots of your screen throughout the day, and logs how long you step away from your desk. In some cases it uses your own camera to make sure youβre actually sitting there. Itβs marketed to employers as a βproductivity tool.β What it actually is, is a digital leash. So why are we bringing this up right now? Because Palantir (the surveillance and AI company that has been cozying up to the Trump administration) just walked away with a no-bid contract with the USDA as part of a larger $300 million deal, all framed around return-to-office implementation. No competition, no other bids, just handed to them. And the reason they gave for skipping the bidding process? National security. National securityβ¦ for return-to-office desk assignments. Hereβs what the contract actually says theyβll be doing: βreal-time analytics to optimize space utilization and employee seat assignmentsβ and βcontinuous compliance monitoring upon detection of threats or anomalies.β Threats and anomalies. In a contract about where people sit. That is not facilities management language. That is surveillance language particularly bossware language. The USDA has already lost 27,000 employees (27% of its entire workforce) since January. And now theyβre rolling out Palantir to monitor everyone whoβs left. Federal workers, be aware. The tools being put in place around you are not there to help you. They are there to watch you.
The surveillance state just keeps worsening.
