Dit was echt een schandalig oningevoerde column. Vooral die laatste alinea over onwillende boeren. In 30 jaar is impact van middelen met 70-90% procent gedaald.
Three big tendencies of agroecological solutionism (AS) stand out to me:
#1 Labor -- AS does little to reckon with dramatic labor shifts required (we're talking 10s of millions of new ag workers!), especially in the developed world, for even a modest reorientation toward agroecology. 5/

The vast fire on #Dartmoor should alert us to the ecological disaster there. This should not be a fire-prone landscape. Were it not for the elimination of trees by grazing, the vegetation type on the high moor would be temperate rainforest, which is extremely hard to burn. But only specks remain.

Ik denk dat veel pvda'ers nu idd tegen mensbeeld van GroenLinks aanschuren. Maar ik denk dat juist daar een probleem van links ligt. Het environmentalisme heeft de bleu collar werker weinig te bieden, terwijl de sociaal democratie dat wel heeft
Ik vind de ideologieen wel in de basis verschillen. Soberheid versus overvloed. Misantropie VS geloof in de mens als kracht van het goed. Verheffing versus meer in harmonie met de natuur.
