I was very excited to discover sour plums at my local Middle Eastern supermarket, as I didn’t know you could get them outside Japan. So, I impulsively bought everything necessary to make umeshu (or Japanese plum wine). These should be ready for drinking in a year’s time. Kampai!

My book on love is now available for pre-order! It provides an original phenomenology of love through a fundamental critique of Heidegger’s existential ontology. It will be out in December and includes a preface by Claude Romano, whose work the book was largely inspired by.

This week, I’m writing a paper in the Duke Humfrey’s Library—the oldest reading room of Oxford’s Bodleian Library—and cannot believe that it has taken me over eight years to spend some time working in this magical space.
My book on Jean-Luc Nancy is now available for preoder! It includes a preface by Emmanuel Falque and will be out in November.

That sounds like him! His academic career failed a few years ago (there still is *some* justice in academic employment decisions, apparently) and he has since become a very reactionary ‘public intellectual’ here in Flanders. He’s a grifter in the true sense of the word.
