I'm so sorry to hear this. On your comment about the waitlist - have you chased it up recently? I chased up my referral in October 2025 and was told I'd been discharged August 2023 because my questionnaires weren't received on time. Gutted.
It's because these things are reliant on self-reported traits for diagnoses/labelling. Right wingers presume people are inclined to lie about themselves!
I was taken off a 'two year waiting list' because they didn't receive my questionnaire responses by a deadline I wasn't told about. They didn't even tell me I'd been discharged August 2023 until I asked what was happening in October 2025. This is absolute BS.
I can't even bring myself to read the fucking article if I'm being real with you. It took me FIVE YEARS to get my first diagnosis and now I'm awaiting a second NHS one.
This is not for some fun personality quirk. ADHD is fucking horrible.
I'd have more respect for them if they'd defected before the Gorton and Denton by-election.
