They tend to increase wear and tear on the connection points, so if they're directly on fur they will eventually develop bald spots at the contacts, but if you're using this for wig, more solid, permanent attatchment points could easily be covered by the hair.

I know magnets work real well for things like that!!! Good friend of mine made a pretty impressive suit a few years back with an entire, furry face over a skull mask with magnets. He ripped it off to show underneath for photos and stuff
