it probably did! Spiders blend in really well with grass, and if you flung the cup out, you could easily have missed it leaving in midair or immediately after it landed.

If you've given her the information and she refuses to hear or care about it, there's not much else you can do. You'll need to accept that nothing will change her mind, and decide whether you can still actively support/promote her content or if you need to grey-rock/disconnect from that part.
