10. The Apprentice: Insanely stacked year with Oscar-worthy performances so I don’t know if the boys will get it but they did SO good
9. Raiders of the Lost Ark: decided to watch anti Nazi cinema for no particular reason. Love that Indy knows he’s fighting against the worst of the worst and as such he just plays dirty.
8. A Real Pain: ooof I loved this movie but hate how called out I felt for avoiding sincerity and feeling whenever I deem doing so would be a burden.
7. All About Eve: Surprisingly Eve is only the second biggest diva of this year’s history, behind Snake Plissken.
6. Airplane! - crazy how they made a movie with my kind of humor more than a decade before I was born.
5. Taxi Driver: Marty and De Niro are always going to be a GOATed combo, just like men not getting therapy is always going to be society’s problem.
4. Bottle Rocket: Wes Anderson’s first film was a fun little awkward ride. Like a rated-R Napoleon Dynamite.
3. Escape from New York: Snake Plissken is such a diva I wish I was him.
2. Kinds of Kindness: a very odd movie but in a very good way. Loved the trio of Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, and Emma Stone.
1. Nosferatu: I did not hate the stache. Great performances and gorgeous cinematography.
