When I (very) first started in radio (in 1991), it was frowned upon to play 2 x female vocalists back-to-back. 3 x female vocalists back-to-back would have earned you a talking to.
I think it was a rule of thumb pretty much everywhere.

Truly think there’s more of a call for it than ever. During a couple of years without Sky Sports it was a pleasant surprise to rediscover that there is still quite a lot of live sport for free. I don’t know why it makes a difference for it to be on BBC1, but it does so bringing it back could work.

This time they’ve given a month’s notice of it happening there, about three weeks more than usual, so if there are issues there should be time to sort them out with any luck. If they’re giving it a big build up they must be serious about pushing it so it could be something like a men’s matchday.
