now that the original author has disabled quote posts, we can just see how badly he is getting ratioed.
I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this π
I am just⦠so fucking tired.
a two-column comparison chart that reads "Slots Machine vs. Vibe Coding", with an image of an online gaming graphic on the left and a bearded caucasian man with headphones on the right/ in each column, left to right: Slots Machine | Al Coding You buy casino chips. | You buy tokens. You pull the lever. | You click "generate" You might win a prize,or you might get nothing. | You might get bug-free code, or you might get nonsense that won't even run. Shiny lights, flashy attention-grabbing animations. | "Great idea!" "Of course!" Here's the perfect solution prepared just for you. "I have my own strategy." | "I'm a prompt engineer." "One more spin! I'II win it all back next spin!" | "One more prompt, and this bug will disappear." The only winner is the casino. | The only winner is Claude.
Today I found this image on mltshp.com (a hand-coded, community run site)
I am so annoyed at people bragging about their use of massive resources to spew bad code.
yup, that was a fun presentation
I would pay to see that

Gov Kim Reynolds has claimed the Iowa State Patrol needed a large plane for its high-tech equipment.
But I obtained docs showing the ISP had a smaller plane w/advanced tech before gov used pandemic $$ for new Cessna.

things every single republican president of your lifetime has done
- started a war in the middle east
- completely destroyed the economy
They're walking it back because they got caught. That doesn't mean they won't try again. Tech companies don't deserve the benefit of the doubt when they do stuff like this.
Always, always research before trusting them with your data.
clearly "Careless People" running the show there.
Look at how this billionaire CEO dehumanizes folks, especially children.
"look, you take 20 years of life and eat so much before you become productive!"
What a complete and utter tool.

Please listen to me very carefully right now: Learn to take and celebrate small short wins, to build momentum and morale, or you and everyone you need to fight beside you will be burned out, demoralized, and demotivated before the next big opportunity comes along.

Rev. Jesse Jackson's "I *am* somebody..." remains one of the all-time great pieces of 20th century rhetoric / agitprop
And he could deliver it at a Black separatist meeting, the Democratic National Convention, or on god-blessed Sesame Street (see below π₯Ή)

I don't have any public photos of it on it's crane arm we had built to do engineering tests and prelim studies for some shows. It was huuuuge. But it was just the prototype.
The production camera was planned on being much smaller, and able to be shoulder-held.
a very large camera (60cm wide, 40cm tall, 220cm long) sits on top of a dolly at a corporate showcase event. a portion of the camera has its black body replaced with clear lucite, showing some orange 5cm steel tubing inside the camera holding the sensor. Several men are gathered around the right side of the camera.
I didn't work with that one, I had this monster as a pet, our cinema camera prototype. 755 megapixels. The base images were 32k exr frames prior to computation. So much fun working with light field cinema and VR, I do miss it.
WE all knew this, but it's good that The Guardian is reminding the normies.

brilliant lens experimentation
Okay, this is awesome. I worked at Lytro for a while, and I loved doing this computationally with a real light field camera, but to make light field manipulation with a custom digital iris is excellent.
Why is @theguardian.com writing a story about an obviously fake image posted on instagram by an athlete?
Nobody has that much control over their bladder to cleanly write letters.
Also unlikely it was poured from a cup, the "splatter" is too even and the "C"s are identical.
