A sticker featuring Merry and Pippin that reads We've had one American Revolution yes, but what about a second?
Spotted in a very normie shopping center parking lot in Evanston. :) <3

I live in Chicago, and to visit my family in Michigan (also in the Midwest!) it is a 7.5 hour drive. Thats the same estimate as the drive from London to Edinburgh. I WISH a train was an option.
Ballet Folklorico is a great institution (go see their upcoming show at Copernicus! We went last year and it was gorgeous!) and they deserve so much better than these trash-ass neighbors. <3
Skyrocketing gas prices while he builds a golden ballroom and mows down schoolgirls. Truly Americaβs golden age.
Celebrating International Womenβs Day as our country guts healthcare and access to abortion in this country while bombing schools full of little girls in other countries, ordered by a serial abuser of women and girls feels kinda weird somehow.
<3 hugs you
Something that speaks to a sudden decline in our society is the amount of people Iβve seen lately approaching stop signs and then going right through them like βnope, donβt believe in this anymore!β
Timothee Chalamet being an ignorant dweeb reminded me that I meant to buy tickets to take Teen to @lyricopera.bsky.social so I did that today. <3
That clip of Timothee Chalamet being like βno one watches the opera or balletβ is wild and I am dying over every ballet and opera acct (correctly) being like βweβve been here for hundreds of years before you and weβll be here for hundreds of years after youβ lmao
This week in our #homeschool - Teen is starting work on an essay for a contest, reading The Last Cuentista, & doing Algebra, Prehistory, Biology, & rehearsals as usual. These last 8 weeks have been SUPER busy so we are looking forward to some upcoming spring break days at the end of the month. <3

The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive
A+ no notes.
Hardcover book VIOLET THISTLEWAITE IS NOT A VILLAIN ANYMORE on a pink chair.
Three hardcover books on a coffee table The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia Anatomy of an Alibi by Ashley Elston Dark Sisters by Kristi DeMeester
What I read in February 2026. All were great, but @anniepreneur.bsky.social & @mbv504.bsky.social were right and VIOLET THISTLEWAITE IS NOT A VILLAIN ANYMORE by Emily Krempholtz was marvelous. I look forward to reading more in the series. <3
Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some zen to the feed.
Omg I laughed so loud I snorted. Bless you, @chucktingle.bsky.social. <3

Pequod's truly lives up to the pizza hype. <3
Dear Womenβs USA Olympic Hockey Team β First, congratulations! Second: I drove race cars for 19 yrs & the amount of misogynistic crap I put up with in the garage was insane. The U.S. Menβs Hockey Team has now shown you their true colors. Believe them. Theyβre not friends of your team or women in general. Iβm so tired of this misogyny in sports & everywhere else in American life, to be honest. The patriarchy sucks. Grow the fuck up or hand the keys over to the ladies. Maybe itβs time we drive.
Leilani Munter, y'all.

"AI is punk" why do all the punks hate it then, that's weird don't you think
Chicago just named a snowplow "Abolish ICE" β here are the other winners: blockclubchi.co/4b6zwaQ

Red, green, and orange lights above the street at the Argyle red line station. Lots of people waiting for a parade.
A lovely Lunar New Year parade this afternoon. (I used to live near the Argyle station but haven't been by since they put these new lights/signs in!) <3
βThe left is missing out on AI!β YEP. Most of us want to miss out! If it ever proves its actual usefulness to our actual lives, stops plagiarizing, and is no longer an environmental disaster, maybe we revisit. Burden of proof is on the industry. So far theyβve done the opposite of that!
I canβt believe you lefty Luddites hate tech so much that you embrace mRNA vaccines, heat pumps, electric bikes, hybrid work, renewable power (and awesome advancements in storage), space telescopes, and hot/cold running water but reject the planet destroying plagiarism enrich the worst people bots!
(These are from Bennison's bc I'm in Evanston today. As a NW sider I'm usually loyal to Delightful Pastries. Regardless, I am stoked.)
Six paczki in a bakery box.
Happy Paczki Day to all those who celebrate. <3

This week in #homeschool, Teen reads EVA. Prehistory, Algebra & Biology (Cells: The Illustrated Story of Life by Christian Sardet is gorgeous!), & our commute listen is @ifbookspod.bsky.social bc Teen has been a fan ever since Peter called Elon a cringe ass dork loser. :)
Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. Itβs always a matter of will not resources.
