There honestly cannot be a satire cutting enough to make fun of Americans. What the fuck do you mean the highest colonial ideal you could imagine was a parking lot with McDonald's on both sides
It's been a hell of a year (and week, JFC), but I found some time to reflect on it with a year in review post daniel-saunders.com/posts/notes/...
On top of that, Iโm officially in my late 30s, and I feel the rapid approach of a โgive no fucksโ attitude to the wide world of nonsense that seems to be everywhere in our present moment. Itโs time to rise above the slop and focus on what really matters. But its abuses of power are not limited to those communities. What the government can do to the most vulnerable among us, it can also do to you.
The shooting in Minnesota is a reminder that while authoritarian governments may justify abuses of power by directing them at scapegoats or vulnerable populations, the goal is ultimately to deploy them against anyone they wish to www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
Abolish and prosecute ICE. They did a murder in broad daylight today. Imagine what they're doing in the closed facilities we're somehow not even allowed to see.

Funny how the nations with the strongest ties to Third Worldist/anti-imperialist traditions are the most clear-eyed about imperialism and self determination

My HS football coach/PE teacher was the same 50-year old guy who said things like "pain is weakness leaving the body" and who showed up to a student awards ceremony with a black and blue face from getting destroyed in a bar fight. So I just do whatever is the opposite of him

These puzzles are really fun, but the moment they become unsolvable without the arcane knowledge of some complex geometry algorithm is when it's time for me to go back to crosswords
Ok I think I'm tapped out after this one. The complexity of p2 was way beyond me. I finally solved by visualizing the shape and using my human ability to break out of the system to get an answer

It's fitting that the cover on AI mindlessly apes an earlier creation and also displaces workers while elevating Silicon Valley plutocrats.
