Project Hail Mary ('26 Lord and Miller): Hits all the right notes for me.
Project Hail Mary ('26 Lord and Miller): Hits all the right notes for me.
Sisa ('25 Jun Robles Lana): I kind of wanted it to be a bloodier affair, but there is plenty of satisfaction to be found in here.
The Bride! ('26 Maggie Gyllenhaal): I didn't agree with every choice, but I'm glad to see a film making so many big choices. Buckley and Bale are incredible.
The Lotto Winner ('26 RC Delos Reyes): Really wants to make you cry. Nabwiset lang ako.
Batang Paco ('26 Rechie Del Carmen): Nakakapagod.
Hamnet ('25 Chloe Zhao): A bit skeptical of its last act, but for the most part,it's a gorgeous, devastating portrait of grief. Buckley is wonderful.
"Wuthering Heights" ('26 Emerald Fennell): Well, "Heathcliff is awesome and sexy" is a take.
GOAT ('26 Tyree Dillihay): Gorgeously animated. Story feels rocky, though, because the main character doesn't have to grow.
Send Help ('26 Sam Raimi): Had a lot of fun with this one. Raimi does Raimi things. O'Brien recalls Ray Liotta. Rachel McAdams is the greatest.
A Werewolf Boy ('26 Crisanto Aquino): Well, it's like the original, but with clumsier staging.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple ('26 Nia DaCosta): Not a zombie movie! Instead, a meditation on societal memory that serves as a stage for Fiennes to crank it up to 11.
The Housemaid ('25 Paul Feig): Trashy, in all the right ways.

Rekonek ('25 Jade Castro): Kind of a mess, though an appealing one by the end.
Love You So Bad ('25 Mae Cruz Alviar): "I'm Savannah. My life is a vibe."
Call Me Mother ('25 Jun Robles Lana): Hey. That was great.
My full review of 'Manila's Finest' for Spot www.spot.ph/entertainmen...
Bar Boys: After School ('25 Kip Oebanda): Has some really strong scenes, but a lot of it feels overwritten, becoming a series of florid pep talks that don't quite land right.
I'mPerfect ('25 Sigrid Bernardo): I'm unsure about its last stretch, but for the most part, this is unabashedly kind cinema that often soars.
UnMarry ('25 Jeffrey Jeturian)Ε Surprisingly breezy for a film about a torturous process. Great to have Angelica Panganiban back on screens.
2050 ('25 Ian LoreΓ±os): Undone by its action sequences, which are shot way too close, making it unclear what's happening at any given time.
2025 ('25 Joey de Guzman): A pretty fun, slasher coded romp. Kind of suffers from a lack of sound design, but it's all right in the end.
1775 ('25 Shugo Praico): Just doesn't work, even on a mechanical level. The story just never comes together.
Shake Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins ('25 Various): Like every entry in this venerable franchise, a mixed bag. Let's break it down:
Mandirigma ('25 Danny Marquez, JR Olinares): Sometimes, you watch a film that makes you question the entire enterprise of cinema.
Manila's Finest ('25 Raymond Red): A terrific film that's also a total bummer, dissecting a time period where everything went wrong and nothing could have been done to change it. Heavy stuff!
Avatar: Fire and Ash ('25 James Cameron): Humongous. Corny as all hell. Inexplicably, not a single moment of its ridiculous runtime is boring.
