AI is a wonderful tool but not at the expense of true creativity. We are going to ask if the original devs who made the assets for us create what we tried to accomplish. The branding of our awards should reflect the hard work the game developers put into the making of the games.

Since the original assets are ours, I never once considered that to be Gen AI, which we have taken a staunch stance against. It shows how important it is to understand how each tool that we use works. Our stance can easily be undermined....
I wanted to share a lesson that I've recently learned. In the recent thumbnail for our 2026 awards, I used our two primary brand assets and (background & logo). Since they are so different in style, yet each so intrinsic to our brand, I used blending software to merge the two....

We take great pride in what our staff of 32 industry veterans do.
The chalice is overlayed over the background. It’s our logo and has been our logo since before AI. The background is the background that we have on our website, cut into thirds, background removed in areas, stretched and minimized in areas to make the placement over the logo placement work mesh.
They are very famous adventure game artists who volunteered the art as a gift. People who we have worked with here and at AG for years. One did the background and one did the logo branding and they were created in 2023. Prior to the AI craze. I cannot begin to believe that it’s AI.
These assets were created by known game devs and have been in use as our website background and many marketing materials since.
This is a background made for our website two years ago and has been in use ever since. The assets are created by prominent game developers. NOT AI.
