And clearly anyone who generated and shared the AI image has zero interest in improving their community.

That Keatings building has a great location facing onto the main road and it’s shocking that it has remained empty all this time.

'Cowardly AI-generated' false news about Cork asylum seeker centre condemned It has taken the form of digitally altered council documents circulated around northside WhatsApp groups around people seeking asylum

The AI generated lies are despicable - this is what public reps trying to do good are up against.

This is a nightmare for Connaught street and Phibsborough

This is what a deeply flawed dysfunctional approach by local gov to dereliction looks like

Well over two decades of vacancy and 17 years since these houses first went on the derelict site register

They can’t be just left there to crumble

Plans to move Rotunda maternity hospital to Connolly in Blanchardstown abandoned Maternity hospital will instead apply for permission for extension at current Dublin city centre site

Good to see Gov finally concede their relocation policy was a real obstacle to the Rotunda’s plans

They could have avoided the mess by listening to the hospital last year

I raised all of this with the Taoiseach @ 3:30pm today!

🤞Rotunda’s plan now go smoothly

Cut in funding to HSE capital plan shows Government is not serious about building health service capacity - The Labour Party Cut in funding to HSE capital plan shows Government is not serious about building health service capacity - The Labour Party Stagnant funding and ambition in HSE capital plan with a €14 million cut in...

This is crazy- there’s a cut to HSE capital plan this year

Rising population, more complexity of care & yet less money going into hospital beds, equipment and IT

Dept of Health’s own bed plan says it needs to build 2,900 by 2031
But plans only 143 new beds this year 🙄

Join on International Women's Day and take a stand for the future of maternity care ♀️✊🏻

The future of the Rotunda belongs in the North Inner City.

The refusal of the critical care wing is an enormous setback & must go ahead. The world's oldest maternity hospital must remain in the heart of Dublin.

Huge credit to Gavin Godfrey speaking so powerfully today about his CAMHS North Kerry experience on @rteradio1.bsky.social with Cormac HEadhra.

If there is a State apology, it has to mean something

Review started in 2022 yet there’s still no full time perm psychiatrist on the ground in North Kerry

“She lost everything”

Harrowing listening to @paschalsheehy.bsky.social interview with Mary on how her daughter lost the most precious years of her life to mistreatment by CAMHS North Kerry.

On the other hand, I have GP’s telling me they won’t refer to CAMHS such is the waiting list black hole

Also very irritating to see An Coimisiún Pleanala reference 20 year old defunct co-location policy with Connolly hospital Blanchardstown.

That isn’t happening.

Rotunda works very closely with the Mater now and that will grow even further

Very disappointed to see the Rotunda refused planning permission for its critical care wing

Dublin City needs to protect our great Georgian architecture AND provide much needed services

Important to say the Hospital was there first in what is now Parnell square before the houses were ever built!

Alarming figures released to me about wait lists in critical children's developmental services.

Weeks and months matter in a child's life and yet we have tens of thousands of children being failed here.

It is critical now that we ramp up training places and create additional assistant grades 👇

“I want to express my deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the individual who passed away in this tragic incident on North Earl Street this afternoon. My thoughts are with those who were injured in this awful incident, their loved ones who are anxiously awaiting news, and express my sincere wishes for their recovery. I am thinking too of those who have witnessed this distressing incident.

“I want to thank sincerely and send my solidarity to the members of An Garda Síochána, Dublin Fire Brigade, the ambulance service, our local hospitals, and all first responders who responded to this incident.

“Thousands of people from all walks of life travel along this street every day to move across our city. That this street has become the scene of such a tragedy is devastating.

“I ask that people follow Dublin Fire Brigade’s request to avoid sharing images of the scene.

We are hearing of a devastating incident involving a bus and pedestrians on North Earl street.

Thinking of all those caught up in this and all those waiting for anxious news of their loved ones.

Solidarity to @dubfirebrigade.bsky.social and Gardaí attending to the incident.

Garda recruits unable to enter force due to delays with garda vetting, Justice Committee hears Sinn Féin TD Matt Carthy said the situation is “unbelievable”.

You couldn’t make this up

To become trainee Garda you need to do a beep test &run an obstacle course

But no background check on suitability to police our country?

What if someone fails the vetting?huge waste of public money

Hi Ed. Absolutely not! We very much recognise that many use them to commute to work or college or just to get about. I reference in the op-ed illegal and dangerous use - those that do not meet new legal regulations in relation to speed, wattage, and their use by under 16s.

We know there is no silver bullet but there are lots more things that could be done.

Grace’s legacy must be safer roads.

- we need special policing unit tasked with reckless use and confiscation of illegal scramblers and scooters

- retailers- we believe some are selling above legal speed limit

Finglas shocked after girl's death in scrambler crash A girl who died after being struck by a scrambler bike in Finglas yesterday afternoon has been named locally.

This is the nightmare we have all been fearing and waiting for.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Grace Lynch on their devastating loss.

For years now, almost every meeting with Gardaí involves the lawlessness on our roads with scramblers and scooters

Medical Council urges ‘immediate’ fix to HR problems at Children’s Health Ireland Report outlined various issues, with some staff waiting months to be paid and the wrong doctors being appointed to posts

These CHI failures in HR and IT are shockingly basic 👇

And yet we expect that within 12 months, CHI can merge and move 4000 staff into a new building and make dramatic move from paper to electronic records.

Very serious concerns here

HSE inconsistency here 🤔

Master of Rotunda on RTÉ today -she hasn’t signed up to public only consultant contract (all private activity was supposed to end by 2025)

Yet HSE is going after 4 hospitals (St Johns, National Orthopaedic, Royal Donnybrook & Peamount) because CEO pay above agreed levels

‘Cyclists have become a nightmare in Dublin’: Judge reduces €50,000 damages award by 80% Court finds cyclist was mainly responsible for collision with motorbike in which he suffered brain and soft-tissue injuries

This is shocking loose, crude talk - something we expect the judiciary to be above

I’m gutted for all cyclists out there-we need more cycling for a safer calmer faster moving city

Judge O’ Donohoe should retract
If not, I think the Judicial Council must intervene

What is happening in the Arts?

Great that the Basic income will be retained and expanded.

But who is losing out?

There is a cut to current funding to arts and culture spending.

This is real backward step. #budget2026

📣 Childcare! Remember all those election promises!

None here today.

More places ❌
Fees to reduce to €200 per month ❌

And the “Building Blocks” scheme to create more places- not a single € paid out. It was supposed to be done last March. Will be lucky to have it next September. #budget2026
