In short, the demo makes it look like just Chimeless Curse Crackers (which is still fine, considering I love Curse Crackers) with potential I'll have to wait and--
so can't really say it's a bad or good mechanic until I see a reason to use it. As for the chain mace, it is much less fun to use than Chime and feels more clunky, and it makes vertical platforming trivial as long as there's a wall, but if later levels are built in a way that make better use--
To put it simply, in the level shown in the demo there's not much need to explore the game's unique mechanics. For example throwing objects is a cool concept but there's no way to know if it will be used in interesting ways later on since the enemies in the demo are no threat at all,--

I actually tried the demo. Honestly though, I think it's a bit too short and lacking in variety of situations to have any kind of significant feedback, since most of my complaints could be mitigated if the level/enemy design gets more interesting later on.
The pixel art is still 10/10 though.

Other than that, incredibly good update.
My only complaints are that the skyblock seed is a bit too slime/boss dependent and pals are a bit TOO rare.
And missed opportunity not having an option to shimmer a Cattiva to get one with sunglasses.
Also, digtoise is great, but it would be even better to have an upgrade to mine hardmode stuff.

This one I can forgive because the game's story is basically a critique of AI and the AI background patterns for enemy spell cards are to represent that. The Extra stage boss is even a being born of a sea of scraped data and is described as "knowing everything and understanding nothing"
