three through seven.
Senators announce that they've received the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. They will forfeit what would be their original draft position and pay a $1M fine.
The Senators give up one with 2:31 left in the second. Sens had two chances at the other end, Habs come back against a tired line and score on a wraparound. 2-2.
With an assist on the Batherson power play goal, Stutzle extends his point streak to 14 games - matching his career high from last season when he had a 14-game point streak between January 25th and March 8th.
Timmy Stutzle scores to put the Sens up 2-1. Follows up Batherson's play to bang it home.
We have a good goal. 1-1 game.
That puck went in the net on the replay. Play is getting reviewed. Should be a 1-1 game shortly.
One anthem night and Lyndon Slewidge is doing the honours. #slew
No need to worry about the out of town scoreboard tonight. There is only one other game on the docket.
Chabot just did his customary shoot the puck at the opposition net at the end of warmups, Dobes tried to stop it from going in. He failed.

With Travis Green indicating that Sanderson's week-to-week with an upper-body injury, here is how the Senators can manage their roster in his absence. Hint: they need Kleven and Spence to continue to put up strong underlying metrics.
My latest for @thehockeynews.bsky.social looks at Jake Sanderson's injury and how the Sens have to adjust. Their success will be predicated on the Kleven-Spence pairing stepping up and continuing to produce some of the best underlying metrics in the NHL.

NHL Player Safety has fined Tyler Kleven $4,166.67, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for cross-checking Seattleβs Jared McCann. Kleven avoids a suspension, which is important given the uncertainty surrounding Jake Sanderson following his injury last night.
In a week, @cominginhot.bsky.social s will be doing a live pod from Beyond the Pale's brewery at their City Centre location (March 15th at 3 pm). Hope to see a bunch of you out for it. You can call ahead for resos, but if you're coming, let me know.
Jake Sanderson has missed 10 games across his four seasons in the NHL. Missing him for any extended period of time would represent a significant blow to the Senators' postseason chances.
Just announced that the Senators have made a minor league deal, acquiring the 24-year-old Graeme Clarke from Washington for Wyatt Bongiovanni. Clarke played junior here in Ottawa with the 67's. In 50 AHL games with Hersey, he has tallied 15 goals and 24 points.
Perron on Sportsnet says he wasn't sure if the fit was ever that perfect for him in Ottawa. Looking forward to going to Detroit an the opportunity there.
Arrived at the CTC for the NHL trade deadline. Let's see what else GM Steve Staios has cooking. What do you think the Sens will do?
StΓΌtzle buries the empty netter and Ottawa now will sit four points back of the Bruins and WC2.
No words.
Ahead of tonight's game, just want to give everyone a massive shoutout who read, shared and sent me messages regarding my 20-year look back at the 2005-06 Senators. Appreciate y'all.
The Senators capture a much needed two points after the Boston Bruins lost in regulation tonight. Five points back.
Nice to see Dylan Cozens pop off. He's been getting his chances. 20 goals on the season. 5-2 Sens.
Play is onside. 4-2 Sens. Batherson with his second of the night.
Batherson buries it to get the insurance marker. 3-1 Sens.
Dylan Cozens should have had five goals the other night against Detroit. He puts the Senators up 2-1 in the second period tonight.
Chabot with the rip job. 1-1 game.
Brady Tkachuk opens the scoring on the power play. 1-0 Sens.
