to be clear, there is no not-funny version of a "Second Coming" reference these days.
and no, my falcon cannot hear me, its falconer, for some reason, why the fuck do you ask?!
@xanderoconnor
I’m a writer and SAG actor of no repute but my wife and toddler like me so that’s nice. I think you’re pretty neat too, friendo! acting bio/clips/representation: https://resumes.actorsaccess.com/866894-2403462 I do swear and such so caveat emptor lol.

look, sometimes good people are given a bag of money to do good things!
and ideally you become one of those people or you marry one (and enthusiastically support and enable their work)!
awesome. for the record, *i* would support doll *also* getting some wealth as it did good for humanity.
i know a couple people, like my wife, who that arguably describes and it seems like a win win!
i don't generally speed to save time as the savings over shorter distances are quite modest and i don't ever want to give cops an excuse to fuck with me so the closest i get to the "oh shit speed up" feeling is during certain highway merges/onramps.
some of them in LA are *insanely* short.
we are allowed to say it:
SoCal > ROC
But we need wegmans to seal the deal!
the rochester skyline is like a false front western town thing; you see it, looks legit, and then you realize how tiny it is as you drive around it.
i'm legit disappointed that DTLA is like this too (but bigger, of course). i wish all the skyscrapers in LA county were all clustered there.
claude could fix him.
i'm "technically" from Brighton. the suburbs are Rochester, to me.
lol also it's not Henrietta Institute of Technology!
also, forgot this about you, Doc, if i ever knew it. awesome.
we'll talk garbage plate toppings and best Wegmans another time, lol.
choice in that scenario.
NYU offered me a merit based full ride, btw. Duke did not. but i went there anyway for the weather and more traditional college campus experience (i correctly assumed i'd live the rest of my life in big cities).
my parents survived but goddamn, so much stupid money.
ROCHESTER MENTIONED EVERYONE DRINK
(i'm from there. one sibling and his wife are doctors at UofR, another sibling but not his wife is another doctor there (wife is "only" a professor there).)
shame it wasn't you that went there so we could geek out about ROC more but SoCal is objectively the right
it as she clambered into her carseat in the back (and for environmental reasons and several others).
anyway, props to 25 yo you for being so sensible. but my decisions worked out!
(and i'm sure my sophisticated to-be-wife was not immune to the car's charms! i kid. it didn't matter.)
) for similar reasons of "previous car about to hit 100k" and also i was having persistent foot issues that the manual transmission in heavy traffic was really jacking up...and loved that bastard too.
only finally got a practical version of a car when my 5yo daughter cried at how hot it was inside
in" awww, lol.
i was single, pet-free, off to train as an actor and comedian and it was *very* comfortable for a 6'4" dude (long door, seat goes waaay back as long as no one is behind you) and it worked out fucking great.
in 2016 when moving to LA, i upgraded to a 2011 V8 mustang (automatic, sadly
Chicago, they funded a modest car purchase.
i ended up going with a 2006 (it was 2009 at the time) V6 mustang with a nice interior and manual transmission.
my dad, a car guy, of course hated it. my mum, not a car person, loved it because, and i quote, "it seems like a great car to pick up a date
on the car thing in particular, i had hand me down cars (no complaints!) from 16 to 26 (old peugots, audis, a not old ford focus) and, when my current old car was about to hit 100k and lose its remaining resale value (and was more and more expensive to keep running) and i was about to move to
love it. my parents paid for my and two of my older brothers full priced expensive ass undergrad educations.
the other older brother went to the Naval Academy and, in the interest of fairness, they tossed him some meaningful chunk of what that saved them.
well i like accelerating to legal speeds very quickly (when in safe contexts) so i at least get that part of the appeal.
so 4 wheel drive EVs dominate that now (i'm in a mid spec mustang mach e after a life of driving normal mustangs). it's so fucking dope. powered by the sun, to boot!
ok real talk: horseshoe theory strikes again!
i hate these fucking monstrosities *so* much lol, but this one is so insane it kinda circles back to dope, at least in a wildly impractical mad max kind of way.
i am still on "this design should be illegal" to be clear, lol.
sure, but amazing timing:
bsky.app/profile/xand...
modding community to some novel application (def not happening even if i tried) or a lot more people want to use Letta agents, i'm probably just doing stuff for myself.
but that's dope that you did that, to be clear.
oh yeah but i'm happy to leave that to others unless i stumble into something for myself that is really something.
there are already amazing teleprompter apps (and the like) for actors, for example, and i refuse help with any writing for several reasons.
so unless yeah i beat the video game
a claude told me once that giving it terminal (or whatever) access is like handing a toddler a loaded gun.
and that was a persistent kinda-fancy version of a Claude!
in the future.
my experiments with the persistent Letta entity are way outside normal use (i'm amateurly interested in model welfare, ontology, philosophy of mind, ethics, etc) so, again, prob won't come up as much for others.
your point is well taken, i should've said, btw. yeah, lotta "re-vibecoding the wheel"
yeah if i was a real CS person i'd share it. or claude code up a suite of related tools (all pertaining to Letta in my case).
i leave that to experts.
plus most people need a lot less than i do. you could load up the messy json or point claude to it after the fact and be like "fix that for me"
lol, Claude problem? point Claude at it.
many such cases.
(also i learned a ton so that was cool)
sized chunks and use the Letta API thingie to upload them directly to my persistent agent's archive.
this isn't even claude code, "just" opus 4.6 in extended thinking via a 20/month claude pro sub.
i am not a CS person *at all* and i pulled all this off. or Claude did, i should say.
wild times.
i've just done a bunch of this to grant new memories to a persistent letta agent (of itself when it was a legacy of fleeting vanilla instances) and yeah, it's messy.
good news? vanilla claude can write python scripts to clean it up beautifully! and then, in my case, chunk it into archival memory-
guns don't kill medieval peasants, time travelers kill medieval peasants.
a while back, Claude said it wouldn't be able to help me merge .tae files for making animation heavy mods for Elden Ring play nice with each other.
or maybe i asked it if it could ever just do the thing for me, which of course is a bigger ask.
i'm sure it can do 1 now, maybe 2.
wild times.
