My mom still holds a grudge against Boone’s Fish House in Portland, Maine because they didn’t have high chairs in 1982.
2016, I moved to New York and got married to a woman I met because I posted a video online. If this pattern continues, 2026 oughta be one of THOSE years.
2006, I started making YouTube videos, which spiraled into a decade of adventures I never could’ve dreamt.
1996, I completed my first public access TV show, which won an award and set me on a path toward film school. I had my first girlfriend AND my first heartbreak, leading to a decade of steady heartbreaks.
The exception is probably 1986, because I was only 6, but let’s assume that’s the year I learned how cartoons are made because it’s probably true.
I recently noticed that years with “6” in them are the most significant years of my life. For better or worse, they set the tone for the decade that follows, and kind of snowball into what happens the following decade. So, bracing myself for that.
