At the Frist in Nashville tonight
The kid is experiencing heavy traffic on her commute from work tonight.
I can't decide if this has been a weird month for VUP sales or one that I should have seen coming. Let me walk you through our top ten sellers for February, since I'm assuming it's not going to change very much by Saturday.
Everybody! I'm on @citycastnash.bsky.social talking about the good ole days when Nashville was filthy, rich people were eccentric, and we got parks.

Am I brave or foolish to walk under this Nashville tree almost daily?
Who knocked the ped crosswalk signal on its side? Must have been tall.
Pedestrians in a sea of asphalt by the Vanderbilt U campus in Nashville, trying to stay alive as cars make turns through the crosswalks while the pedestrian light is green.
no worries we will just detour the buses so that they skip the highest ridership transit stop outside of central
βa separate permit is required to change a lane closure to a street closureβ except they just decided to close the whole street without filing that separate permit
β1 lane will flow south for buses and carsβ
image showing the street completely closed and buses having to detour
image showing traffic plan, including the southbound traffic lane that was just not followed
itβs fun when contractors make lovely little traffic control plans and file permits for a lane closure and explicitly state that southbound traffic will remain open but then violate the permit and close the whole street
My bus driver in Nashville tonight is passionate about sunsets! He & his wife travel to special spots to see sunsets. During his break he showed me sunset pics. I said thanks! This convo came up after I changed seats to take this pic & he asked whether I was OK because in the move I dropped a thing.
New predawn life travel plan. Puerto Rico's Casa del Libro, next trip. WWOOFing out West in the summer, to escape Nashville heat. Europe in the fall, maybe.
Explanation, in English, of the Bad Bunny half-time show, including Spanish linguistics pertaining specifically to Puerto Rico.

Looks like the TSLA now requires a bar code number to access the databases fully. No worries, just go there, it's free and gives you a nice parking garage, convenient too, say, if the farmers market parking is full.
Sooo many wooden poles, still.
I lost a dozen mature trees. More than half were hackberries. ππ
So this meeting has started but it does not look like it is streaming on YouTube, but it is on MNN nashville.cablecast.tv/watch-now?si...

There's a bus stop at Union Station and a rider called it at 12th Ave but the driver skipped the stop because he had made a bee line for the left lane to turn on 8th. This is a problem we have.
Also bookmarking Tito Rodriguez whose name it took me 30ish minutes to remember.
Bookmarking one of my favorite singers.

Imagine being a lineman fixing Nashille's electricity rn while the NFL's half-time extravaganza has a segment of DANCING LINEMEN (AND WOMEN) on electrical poles.

There's a pod or colony of young Tennessee refugees in Seattle who joined the crowds in the streets last night and sent me pics.
When your kid lives in Seattle, you get reports.
With your permission, I might quote you some day, haha.
They took a subsurface boring every 2,900 feet. TDOT itself wants a boring every 200 feet in rock cuts. I think itβs safe to say theyβre gonna encounter something unexpected.
oh, Iβm gonna be requesting them all over, not just in my district.
I think raised crossings are criminally underutilized in Nashville, and Iβm making this <A Thing>.
