Is there even such a thing as a restful weekend to a healthcare worker (unless they specifically got or requested for a weekend off)?
I’ve been so busy and constantly on-call lately that I can’t even shower in peace without thinking I’m hearing my work phone ring or ping with messages. 😅🥲 It’s just 15 days into the year and I feel like I’ve worked enough for at least 3 months.

I got her three of the Dr. Seuss Big Book For Beginners (the Green, Purple and Orange ones), a Pop-Up Disney Princess Book (she’s absolutely wild for the Elmo one), and a book on potty training (Ms. Rachel’s Potty Time With Bean). 😊
Went to a bookstore today and bought several books, none of which were for me. Our priorities truly shift once we’re raising a tiny human (and, hopefully, a life-long reader!).
And are so proud of it too. It’s really disheartening.

Whenever I see posts of people talking about how they were sick but still “showed up” (to work, a concert, etc), especially if they were unmasked and (likely) contagious (especially in a crowded place), I feel not so lowkey distressed.

Agree! My problem is that I have two clinics back to back on certain days, and it will mean that even the other clinic’s patients may be inconvenienced by tardiness. I don’t like to think of cutting down clinic hours or days so I can account for other’s tardiness.
So much more frustrating because I try to be very good and considerate with my patients’ time. It only takes one very late patient to make all the other families (who make it on time!) inconvenienced.
I don’t think anything stresses me out at work as much as patients who are very, very late on a fully (actually, over)booked clinic day. ESPECIALLY if they’re scheduled at the start of the day. If you are very, very late, all of the patients after you will also be seen much later than intended.

Always a struggle to get professional makeup off! So far, the best makeup remover I’ve tried is the Banila Co Clean It Zero, but it can sometimes be difficult to find. Do you guys have any products you swear by for thorough makeup removal?
