Todays wasp is the Hübner's Wasp Moth (Amata huebneri)

This intimidating little fellow is found in Northan Australia and the islands above it, all the way up to Taiwan and parts of China!

Wingspan more vague on this one as I couldn't find an accurate source for this moth in particular!
What few I saw I believe were involving the similar looking dysphania palmyra with dysphania percota being lumped in by accident

Highly curious, what clued you in that it was Ethmia Monachella? I'm unfamiliar with US moths and imagine it would've been easy to accidentally overlook
