current events are awful, and the ones targeting trans people fill me with anxiety and dread. but at the same time, thanks to transitioning, I have this rising baseline of happiness that hasn't abated at all. I can feel contentment. I never had this before hrt, and I will never give it up.

I deleted the thread on emotional crash outs because I can say it more succinctly like this:

Check on your emotionally reserved friends. A lot of us don't express distress openly and many people mistake that for invulnerability or hypercompetence. I find that especially true among trans people.

I want to clarify this because people have asked: organizations in general giving money to trans people for hormones and ID changes and moving fees, good. Organizations giving money to legal teams for the newest lawsuit to try and slow this down, maybe not the priority right now

i really can not emphasize enough that the most materially impactful thing you can do for trans people right now is hire them.

I see a lot of people I respect fundraising for trans orgs and I say this with full love for them and knowledge of how much work goes into organization but like. I feel like I should mention that I believe it’s time to just give trans people money so they can flee these red states trying to kill ‘em
