78: War Machine(2026)

I was entertained, and that's something, but it was a very, very dumb movie. If this movie was made in 1995, Steven Seagal would have starred in it

77:The Secret Agent(2025)

The Big Lebowski of spy thrillers. I thought it was a fantastic movie, but I have absolutely no idea what was going on

I agree with this but I also think "intelligence" is almost entirely undefined, and is mostly a proxy for "our ancestors built a agricultural civilization" when it is

76:Rollerball(1975)

I'm not sure what to make of this one. The sports action scenes are some of the best ever put to screen, despite it being a fake sport with an absurd premise, but the rest of the movie was just kinda...there. I didn't get the side story about his various wife/prostitutes at all

All these brtish persons in the comments being like "why would I watch this? I don't know who any of these people are". Yeah, that's the point of SNL. Get a bunch of young, hungry, unknown comedians, and some of them will turn out to be geniuses

The same reason evolution hasn't cured cancer. Evolution invented cancer, to kill us off at the ideal rate. War, disease, famine, all evolution's ideas. Evolution doesn't care about individuals, only breeding populations

75: Serendipity(2001)

A sibling of High Fidelity, with many of the same jokes(Sexually intimidating tantric hippies! Analogies about the sequels to classic movies!). I didn't like this Sleepless In Seattle thing where the romantic leads don't interact for almost the entire runtime. That's dumb

Not that great as a rom-com, but a great cast that are all really, really funny. Stephen Merchant steals every scene he's in

73: Sisu: Road to Revenge(2025)

The elevator pitch for this thing was Sisu: Fury Road, and while it doesn't come close to meeting that promise, it's fine. It's like the first one, madcap violence, crazy set pieces, surprisingly good effects, and all in English for some reason

There is no movie marketing police. You can just say anything!

Alright, since you all won't stop talking about how great it is, I'm starting to watch Heated Rivalry. Definitely not what I was expecting so far.

They're telling me - listen to this - they're telling me to not... to not, to never get involved in a land war in Asia! I don't know. That's what they say but I don't know. Should I do it? They're telling me it's one of the "classic blunders" but I might do it. Should I do it?... I'm going to do it
