78: War Machine(2026)
I was entertained, and that's something, but it was a very, very dumb movie. If this movie was made in 1995, Steven Seagal would have starred in it

me paying $30 in gas to buy imported things that have been hit with tariffs bc joe rogan is learning about politics at age 58
That's true but it's because they have thousands of purpose built ASBMs of various flavors
Better equipped? The Houthi's missiles are Iranian!
Happy Fun Ball ass sketch
77:The Secret Agent(2025)
The Big Lebowski of spy thrillers. I thought it was a fantastic movie, but I have absolutely no idea what was going on
I agree with this but I also think "intelligence" is almost entirely undefined, and is mostly a proxy for "our ancestors built a agricultural civilization" when it is
76:Rollerball(1975)
I'm not sure what to make of this one. The sports action scenes are some of the best ever put to screen, despite it being a fake sport with an absurd premise, but the rest of the movie was just kinda...there. I didn't get the side story about his various wife/prostitutes at all
SHOULD THE U.S BLOT OUT THE SUN AND USHER IN AN AGE OF ETERNAL DARKNESS? - Gallup 2/20/26-3/5/26
NO - 41%
YES - 38%
UNSURE - 21%
All these brtish persons in the comments being like "why would I watch this? I don't know who any of these people are". Yeah, that's the point of SNL. Get a bunch of young, hungry, unknown comedians, and some of them will turn out to be geniuses
The same reason evolution hasn't cured cancer. Evolution invented cancer, to kill us off at the ideal rate. War, disease, famine, all evolution's ideas. Evolution doesn't care about individuals, only breeding populations
I looked it up on imdb, it really is him. I don't believe it
Wait a second, that's the "your sad devotion to that ancient religion will not help you conjure up the stolen data tapes, or give you clairvoyance enough to find the rebels hidden..." guy!
Guy in Rollerball saying "rules or no rules the game is still the game"
Gonna have to disagree with you there guy. A set of rules is literally what a game is
75: Serendipity(2001)
A sibling of High Fidelity, with many of the same jokes(Sexually intimidating tantric hippies! Analogies about the sequels to classic movies!). I didn't like this Sleepless In Seattle thing where the romantic leads don't interact for almost the entire runtime. That's dumb
Kristi Noem's head on Tim Robinson's body going "Great, I don't have to go to work tomorrow"
Boffins is a hilarious word but I feel I bit dirty using it. Fucking limeys, man
I guess this doesn't work because who's Honey? And Kids, I Shrunk The Wife doesn't work because they don't appear to have kids. Maybe the TV boffins at NBC know what they're doing after all
They could have just called it Honey, I Shrunk The Wife. No one could stop them
74: I Give It A Year(2013)
Not that great as a rom-com, but a great cast that are all really, really funny. Stephen Merchant steals every scene he's in
73: Sisu: Road to Revenge(2025)
The elevator pitch for this thing was Sisu: Fury Road, and while it doesn't come close to meeting that promise, it's fine. It's like the first one, madcap violence, crazy set pieces, surprisingly good effects, and all in English for some reason
He's not a nazi, he's just the dumbest man alive!
I'm really looking forward to this one, but come on
There is no movie marketing police. You can just say anything!
A screenshot from Star Trek: Voyager with the Emergency Medical Hologram in the foreground touching a PADD he's holding, and Lieutenant Paris and Ensign Kim in the background, in gold and red hockey uniforms, with ice skates slung over their shoulders and hockey sticks in their hands.
Alright, since you all won't stop talking about how great it is, I'm starting to watch Heated Rivalry. Definitely not what I was expecting so far.
They're telling me - listen to this - they're telling me to not... to not, to never get involved in a land war in Asia! I don't know. That's what they say but I don't know. Should I do it? They're telling me it's one of the "classic blunders" but I might do it. Should I do it?... I'm going to do it
I'm attacking Iran because they have nuclear weapons Why don't you attack Russia? Are you crazy? They have nuclear weapons
The thing about bluesky for me is that I don't really feel like staking out a position on something that everyone who sees it will agree with. It feels almost tautological to do
Gotta be friendly fire. No way Iran reaches Kuwait
it occurs to me that starting wars of aggression with no public buy in immediately after the Olympics close used to be Vladimir Putin's thing
