Reread the first paragraph. Again, pedantry. You've repeatedly asserted *that* your corrections matter to the argument; you have yet to demonstrate how.

Why does your first point matter here? Pedantry aside, yes, the BOG always has a faculty rep. But none of the appointed members of the BOG have a background in education, or even education administration. So what’s your point?

1) Absolutely. But that's not the same as Board members themselves being familiar with academia.

2) Serious Q: Have you ever witnessed a public comment impacting BOG vote outcomes?

Florida’s Board of Governors is made up of β€œpolitical appointees from the business world, from insurance executives to roofing contractors, who are dictating how professors must teach their courses and even providing state-created textbooks for doing so.”

Timing of US-Israel attack on Iran bears symbolic meaning in Judaism
Tal Shalev
By Tal Shalev
The timing of the US and Israeli attack on Iran bears symbolic meaning in Judaism. Ahead of the upcoming Jewish holiday of Purim, worshippers read the specific portion from the Old Testament, known as Zachor.

The passage from the book of Deuteronomy commands the ancient Israelites to remember an unprovoked attack by the nation of Amalek and to eradicate the memory of Amalek once the Israelites are settled in their land.

The passage is read publicly before Purim to fulfil the mitzvah of remembering Amalek as Israel’s achetypical enemy.

FL’s state legislature is currently working to pass SB 1296, which would require a majority of workers in a bargaining unit β€” not a majority of voters, but majority of workersβ€” to vote yes.

Imagine if FL’s state elections proceeded this way. Not a single member of the senate would win a seat!

Florida Hands Down Sociology Curriculum to State Colleges The sociology curriculum is likely just the state’s first foray into course development; the Florida Department of Education is already working on a similar framework for American history classes.

Absolutely. But the original post didn't suggest it's not an issue at universities; it stated that the screenshot directives were sent to all colleges yesterday. Universities didn't receive these directives; they received phone calls from the Board of Governors' staff ordering faculty to comply.
