I just made a post over on my main blog. WordPress will put up post topic suggestions in their Jetpack app, and sometimes I like to answer the prompts.

I think the song was a bigger hit here in its original German, and I prefer it in its original German. The English version is missing some of the nuance.
Goldfinger did a pretty good cover of it, and kept one verse in German.

Iβm pretty much just watching for the commercials and Bad Bunny.
In any other scenario, I would have loved to see Metallica do the halftime show (as itβs their hometown as well), but Bad Bunny headlining just seems right. I havenβt listened to a lot of his music (more so his wrestling appearances), but he exudes great energy when he performs.
I was singing along while filling my dadβs pill organizer for the week. The βAmerican Idiotβ album was such a landmark album for Middle Millennials like me who came of age right around the time it was released.
I would have liked to see it, but the notoriously conservative NFL inviting such a vocally liberal pop punk band with an openly bisexual lead singer to perform is already quite the statement.
And they also had an openly lesbian singer (Brandi Carlile) singing βAmerica the Beautifulβ.
I canβt begin to imagine the smell that would be emanating from him. π€’
Literally nothing shocks me anymore with this man. Give this guy a low to sink to, heβll find the subfloor and probably the crawl space, too.
βBirtherismβ sounds like a long ago and far away thing now, but I remember people in my own life buying into that conspiracy theory.
It doesnβt matter if he posted it or one of his staffers, you know full well that you *never* depict a Black person like that, let alone a former PotUS.
Iβve seen an image of the post making the rounds and it is truly despicable, but not surprising that it came from his account.
How soon we forget that this is a guy whose entire political career started because he was peddling racist conspiracy theories about Barack Obama.
That happened a year before I was born. However, one of my friends was born on the first anniversary of that day and she just had her birthday yesterday.
As we resist Trumpβs tyranny, America gains solidarity.
As we gain solidarity, we feel more courageous.
As we feel courageous and stand up to Trump, we weaken him and his regime.
As we weaken Trump and his regime, we have less to fear.
And another one basically wondered if youβre supposed to trust a fart.
Iβm of the camp that farts are funny. And these characters were a bunch of teenage boys, which is par for the course for farts.
I had my first true LOL moment while reading Infinite Jest this evening. There was a scene at the tennis academy where a bunch of the students were watching video of their matches and one of the younger ones asked one of the older ones what do you do when you have to fart during a match.
it's time to play America's favorite new game, 'what the fuck am I waking up to now'
Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen is the bromantic gift that keeps on giving.
I wish Bea Arthur was still alive because she would have absolutely *nailed* this dramatic reading of βWoodβ.
That said, Anderson Cooper attempting to dramatic read βWoodβ gave me my first real laugh of 2026. π€£

Is he even writing his own social media posts at this point or are his rants just being typed down by someone? Iβd be shocked if heβs got dementia and he still has the ability to read and write.
(The ability to read and sign her name was one of the first major things to go away with my mom.)
My mom had dementia and she made more sense than he has. But then again, my mother wasnβt a narcissist in a position of power.
Iβd also want to see amendments proposed that put term limits or mandatory retirement ages on federal judges (including the Supreme Court) and possibly even term limits for members of Congress.
It would be a start, at least.
Sounds like the kind of thing in Georgia that resulted in the governorβs office being stripped of pardon powers back in the β30s and β40s.
It would be extremely hard to get ratified, but I hope at there are constitutional amendments to rein in corruption such as presidential pardon oversight.
She had so much potential to be a BB legend. To have anyone die at such a young age is so incredibly tragic.
My thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.
Itβs a sad day in the BB fan community today. Mickey will always be remembered in BB lore for making two moves that doomed Rylie in the game: using her Interrogator power to successfully dethrone him as HoH and then winning the Blockbuster that led to his eviction (arguably the most satisfying).
And in the other one he played a hairstylist named Eduardo who decided to work his βmagicβ on Blanche, Dorothy, and Rose.

His dad was actor Lloyd Bochner, who I best remember as appearing in two episodes of The Golden Girls. In the first one he played a famous actor starring in a play in Miami who tries dating Blanche, Dorothy, Rose (and others) at the same time. The fallout:

I kept trying to tell him βChildrenβsβ was being used as a possessive, implying that βHospitalsβ was supposed to follow it.
I said to him, βThat must be where I get it from!β (Referring to my tendency to nitpick at the weirdest things.)
