Thanks so much. I just plopped paint in water really π€£ x
This is how I would like to paint one day-that sky and the suggestions allowing the imagination to fill in the story
Thanks so much! My little grey cells were challenged π€£
Good job itβs been raining. Time to catch up on next art lessons Iβve missed. More work on reflections and pastel colours in this βwho pulled the plug outβ scene. Somewhere in the highlands! Itβs a learning process π
Happy times π
@mjmerrill.bsky.social thanks for the repost π! I read your biography on your website and thought thereβs hope for me to learn more about watercolour!Gave up art aged 14 to do more βacademicβ subjects π and then English lit at uni and a career in teaching. Only now Iβm retired do I have the time π
Catching up with art lessons Iβve missed. Enjoyed this river scene with pollarded willows! The magic for me is wet in wet where colours just mingle and you donβt need to do anything π
Stunning sunset by @chrisstephenart.bsky.social
A really beautiful painting those clouds and reflections against the darks π€©
π thatβs a great thing to look forward to π
Haha like that! Off for a bit so looking forward to more cloud painting when back π
Such a sense of movement and contrast. Amazing
I love those clouds- the light and dark. I looked up Fred Cuming after one of your videos. Amazing
Thank you it was a great composition and demo by @chrisstephenart.bsky.social on Patreon- so lucky to have such a great artist community here π
Thanks so much. As soon as I saw your video I thought I want a go! Actually I want to do it again as my spattering went all over the place! Such a lovely way to paint- I loved just dropping the paint on and allowing it to do its own thing
Had a go at lesson by @chrisstephenart.bsky.social which was called experimental and was a brilliant demo. I am now covered in paint but had a lot of fun π
A murky estuary/ loch scene in art lesson this week - a lot of masking fluid involved π
Really like the sense of a busy boatyard all pulled together by the colour palette. Very atmospheric and loose which is lovely
It was just like that this morning with some additions! Lovely painting π
The lovely cows appeared on the heathland again today. I didnβt argue over right of way π
Such incredible light. Stunning painting by @chrisstephenart.bsky.social
Thatβs one of your best imho- the light is stunning π€©
Thatβs really beautiful π€©
Haha maybe you could start a new line?!
π you can take the boy out of Cardiff etc!!
Thank you. Really enjoyed the lesson and using the hake not hack brush π
Cows on the heathland. Helping sustainable regeneration of natural heathland habitat. Love the fact that this magnificent creature is called Turbo π
I rarely use a hack brush but while the footie is on π had a go at great demo by @chrisstephenart.bsky.social I loved the vibrancy of this lovely composition. Brush control very hard but also somehow liberating!
These are lovely π
