Good job it’s been raining. Time to catch up on next art lessons I’ve missed. More work on reflections and pastel colours in this β€˜who pulled the plug out’ scene. Somewhere in the highlands! It’s a learning process 😊

@mjmerrill.bsky.social thanks for the repost 😊! I read your biography on your website and thought there’s hope for me to learn more about watercolour!Gave up art aged 14 to do more β€˜academic’ subjects πŸ™ and then English lit at uni and a career in teaching. Only now I’m retired do I have the time 😊

Catching up with art lessons I’ve missed. Enjoyed this river scene with pollarded willows! The magic for me is wet in wet where colours just mingle and you don’t need to do anything πŸ˜‚

Thanks so much. As soon as I saw your video I thought I want a go! Actually I want to do it again as my spattering went all over the place! Such a lovely way to paint- I loved just dropping the paint on and allowing it to do its own thing

Had a go at lesson by @chrisstephenart.bsky.social which was called experimental and was a brilliant demo. I am now covered in paint but had a lot of fun 😊

Really like the sense of a busy boatyard all pulled together by the colour palette. Very atmospheric and loose which is lovely

I rarely use a hack brush but while the footie is on 😊 had a go at great demo by @chrisstephenart.bsky.social I loved the vibrancy of this lovely composition. Brush control very hard but also somehow liberating!
