Senior pupils took part in a full-day experience at the Engine Shed in Stirling, gaining a hands on insight into the world of construction and the wide range of roles the industry offers.
Across seven interactive tasters, pupils explored different trades and pathways.

Senior pupils represented the school brilliantly during their visit to The National Apprenticeship Show at the SEC Glasgow. The event brought together employers, universities, colleges and training providers, giving pupils the chance to explore a wide range of pathways and future opportunities.

For World Book Day 📚 The Lighthouse, The Haven & The Harbour explored The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We chose this story for its themes of belonging, kindness and growth. Our doors reflected the story, helping bring these messages to life across our community. #WorldBookDay

Our PE girls have been competing at both the Falkirk Schools Trampolining and Scottish Schools Cheerleading Competitions. At trampolining did great & came 5th out of 8. The Cheerleading Competition had over 30 schools from across the country & the girls came away with a 5th place trophy! 💛🏅👏

Pupils took part in a Bell Group Apprenticeship Info Session this week on pathways in painting, decorating and property maintenance. Bell Group reps shared what employers look for, the skills involved in the trade and the progression routes available through their apprenticeship programme.

Incredibly proud of our debate team for an outstanding performance at the National Ethics Cup this week. The team reached the semi-final, narrowly missing out on the final. While the result was close, feedback was the real victory: one judge described our pupils as the "highlight of the day."

Thanks to all our exhibitors for giving their time at the careers fair. Their enthusiasm, insight and willingness to share their journeys made a real difference for our young people and their families.

There is a new exhibition of work from across the Grangemouth Cluster at The Kelpies. Pupils illustrated myths & legends from around the world. Illustrator Kate Leiper led workshops & the illustrations are now available to see at the visitors centre until end of February.

In barista‑training today, pupils learned about the different cups and glasses used for hot drinks. S2s having a blind date with a book. Learning strategies in choosing fiction. Lots of chat about books!

The School of Achievement group have started their second activity for National 2 PE, Archery. We focused on safety, rules and posture this week and used our numeracy skills to total up any points we were able to get. We even had some staff stop by to see what we were doing and give it a go.

Launch of our cluster Myths and Legends Red Illustrated project yesterday at The Kelpies. Such fun celebrating stories and illustrations! Work by P7 pupils from Beancross, Bowhouse and Moray primary schools, S1 from GHS, and from Carrongrange. Exhibition open until end of February! Such talent!!
