Confirmed that kimchi and spring onion works well in an omlette.
The bench top and shelves are all containers, storing their contents positioning in a master container array. I had to read a stripped down version of that into a sorting array, re-calculate the coordinates, then sort into a display array in order of Y position. That display array then draws.
The serving window in Innkeep. You can see a close-up 2D GUI space, with a bench top, a chopping block and knife, a ladle, and a bunch of bowls on shelving.
A zoomed-out, "regular" view of the serving bench. It is in the same layout as the first image, but 25% the scale.
A tricky design thing I had to solve this week: visually replicating the contents of our serving bench outside of the serving window. Everything on this bench can be dragged and dropped to practically anywhere (no pre-set slots). 1/2

Clever little budget-priced CPRG just left early access with a good launch discount, too.
A weird swampy fantasy setting, semi-real-time combat ala Vagrant Story and a cool claymation-esque art style. Also hugely undersold so far.
Go check it out, RPG folks.

i guess to add to this, you can't simply make something and expect anyone to care just because *you* made it and released it. you've gotta differentiate it. doesn't always need to be fancy gameplay either, could be aesthetic or thematic elements few developers have explored.
yes, I still think this is one of @denisloubet.bsky.socialβs best pieces. But then again Iβm pretty sure I say that about all his work.

Good news about Innkeep. It's a cosy game where you steal from people and there's demons and beheadings and things.
The handmade apron did not arrive in time unfortunately, so I had to go with one from a store for now. Stained it with tea to make it less white but I don't think my terrible web cam would have picked it up either way.
The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

People can grow and grow all their lives as artists. Reminds me of what Scorsese said a few years ago.

Played this in school in 1993. Still buried in my mind. Doesn't even have a wiki page! I think this is from IV, The Anglo Saxons, although it might be III, The Vikings.
