There is also the very funny possibility, of Zun doing one of the two unlikely options (remake or avoid), for the TH20 assets.
But still has to do an AI disclosure,due to reusing TH19 assets.
Although this is assuming
1. TH19's BGs are ai gen (intentional or not)
2. Only the games are 1/2

There is possibility of making new (non ai) assets, or avoiding using any TH20 assets (thus by extension any TH20 character).
But considering the nature of STG spinoffs, reusing them is the most likely possibility.

On the one hand, even under the most cynical view, there is incentive for him not using it. Due to either not wanting more controversy, or possibly not wanting to get caught.
On the other hand, have people forgotten Zun reuses assets? When (or if) he makes an STG spinoff game, reusing TH20 2/?
