I like that subtle movement. It makes the ship feel more "alive". Plus them moving when they are knocked out of warp makes it really feel like the ship was "hurt".
I would imagine the wings have some function of regulating the warp field or subspace field regulation.

The Dems' video telling service members to ignore illegal orders didn't go far enough. They should've also urged them to refuse unethical orders, whether illegal or not. There are many things deemed "legal" that are still obviously unethical, and everyone should hold themselves to this higher law

The Glenn has hunted down and destroyed the Romulan rebels in the Rator system. The Artemis and Anatolia came by to take some of the glory of the hunt from me. They hate me, I know it!
Suddenly, we were ambushed by a lonely Klingon ship. The Anatolia was destroyed.
