Close to a million women files for for divorce in 2024 and only a 150,000 men. thats such a big difference. So looking at the numbers men are the ones trying to make the marriage work. Damn.

Funny how they think this is a gotcha, when it's more proof of weaponized incompetence.

A big step in adulthood is realizing that buying fresh ginger and garlic along with having some sesame oil and Shaoxing cooking wine on hand allows you to make all the same sad stir fries you made in your 20’s but suddenly they’re good and you’re good at cooking

This Day in Labor History: March 7, 1932. Several thousand unemployed workers marched toward Henry Ford’s River Rouge plant in Dearborn, Michigan. Upon reaching the complex, Henry Ford's hired thugs opened fired and killed some of them! Let's talk about Ford and his horrors!!!

They can be a little soft but I'm used to a delicate flavor. Maybe problem with that source, though Pike Place frontage sellers are usually solid.

Tech jobs are getting demolished in ways not seen since 2008 and the dot-com bust
It's a rough time to be looking for a tech job. Economist Joseph Politano said losses in the industry outpaced those in the last two recessions.
We have crossed 3 years of constant layoffs in tech and it’s now a worse job market than the housing crisis and COVID.
It’s on track to be as bad as the dotcom crash which was a four year downturn, thanks to AI-driven layoffs, since it doesn’t look like the tech job market willl recover this year.

Someone very smart (maybe @hacks4pancakes.com ?) once said on reading news about big breaches "Everyone who knows anything is under NDA. So if you see someone talking, by definition they don't know what they're talking about."
It stuck with me. And yeah, that basically applies to everything

/4 Anyway, a long-time theme of Trumpism, and an increasingly common theme of the Republican Party, is that violence is justified against protesters because protesters are evil. It’s a deeply foul, thuggish, un-American sentiment.

“They were very productive, so I thought, ‘Maybe there’s something here,’” he told the Wall Street Journal, referencing when he saw Zyn tins on engineers’ desks.
After going through two or three pouches a day, he knew he had to stop.
“Then, I accidentally got addicted,” he said.

I ate a large clove of raw garlic today (there were reasons) and I gotta say...I can't recommend it. It was a weird enough sensation that I did a bit of a dive on pain receptors in the mouth. Turns out, garlic activates a totally different pain receptor than capsaicin!

kind of crazy that if you have enough money and don't like what you see in the media, you can just buy up every film studio, news station, and social media app and change it

When someone says „Scientists do not want you to know“ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They can’t shut up about what they found out and want you to know.

Mantrap vs Sallyport vs Interlock... Which Term is the Proper Term?
YouTube video by DeviantOllam
My video this week asks people a question about terminology and seeks to untangle certain words that are often applied haphazardly and potentially incorrectly in our industry.
Have you ever heard any of these terms being used? (Possibly the wrong way?) 🚪🤔

Between Russia's clownishness in Ukraine (17 miles of out-of-gas vehicles) and the limpness of Iran's response here, I think I'm coming to understand how these rogue actors use their militaries - low-tech brutality to harm citizens and weaker neighbors, but on top of that, mostly just embezzlement.

shockingly people are capable of simultaneously,
1. Hating their government
2. Hating the people who bomb and sanction their country, making regular life impossible and murdering members of their family, even more
