Oh yeah last night I decided to try the PS3 version of REmake (yes, it had a PS3 version) on a CRT to see how it'd look

I wish it had proper 4:3 support (it's a 2014 release so I get it), but it still does look pretty good if you're fine with letterboxing + panning

My 4.5/5-star Backloggd review of Resident Evil 4 (2023): "The pinnacle of "we didn't need this whatsoever, but holy fuck thank you". Don't feel like I need to talk much about my deeper thoughts, a lot of people have said what I was feeling, especially since it took me 3 years on and off across two platforms (started on PS5, moved to PC for KBM) to finally finish it because I have brain problems. Aside from some really questionable attack resolutions and hitboxes, I love this game so much. Definitely gonna be popping this in for replays and Mercs a lot going forward."

Like dev mode exists as a half measure but a full softmod would be a godsend

That's honestly the big boon of getting a used Xbox: you get crazy used deals without needing to break BDS boycott, especially since every B/C game can be played via disc (and in some cases like Ace Combat 6, it's the only option you have)
