People love to say Obama wasn’t perfect. No shit. No one is. I doubt I’m the only one who would instantly take “doing the best they can” over “the abominable worst they want” though. Watching this speech made my heart ache. It makes me angry, it radicalizes me. I just wish I was bold enough to act.
When Jesse Jackson was born, he couldn't register to vote. When Jesse Jackson died, he was eulogized by a Black president & vice president. The man kept hope alive even in death.
