The girls, Stephanie, Nona, Crabby, and I went to see "Hoppers" last night. I highly recommend it. It's well worth your time to be reminded we're all in this together.

Run, Roy, run. This is the time to show the country what the Old North State is made of. For all those wondering, Roy Cooper is a gem of a human being.

Your work may feel lonely, the road may feel barren—but that’s what they want you to think. It’s a dangerous thing to think you’re alone. It’s more dangerous for them when you realize it’s not true.

If you’re in a state with a primary today vote like our democracy depends on it. Because it does.

I registered my grievances today by voting in the North Carolina primary election. I loved that a local student designed our “I voted” sticker.

My 8 year old daughter imposed ashes on my forehead this evening at church. I asked her if she knew what to say when she put those ashes on someone’s forehead. She responded that she did and said, “God loves you” as the ash swept across my head.

What a perfect thing to say.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson died today. He was more than a civil rights advocate turned presidential candidate—he was a trailblazer whose desire was to bring all of us along for the ride. He will be sorely missed.

Friends, as Ash Wednesday approaches it is my solemn and steadfast duty to remind my clergy colleagues to never mix the ashes with water unless you want to burn your parishioners with lye.

Here’s to a holy and safe Lent.

I don’t know—maybe we should ask defenders of the president’s post to explain how it’s NOT racist… oh the mental gymnastics would be worthy of the Olympics.

This means democracy will finally fall tomorrow, damn. Vocalizing things like this is dangerous in these times. 😂

Review | ‘The Muppet Show’ refuses to modernize in its triumphant revival — The Washington Post On the 50th anniversary of Jim Henson’s show, the Muppets — with a boost from guest star Sabrina Carpenter — pick up exactly where they left off.

This review’s headline doesn’t do the review justice. The review was almost entirely what I thought about watching this. It did me good to see The Muppet Show back on air.

God, who endowed humans with reasoning and skill, grant that we may continue the yearly observance of assuming a large rodent-like creature has the foresight of meteorological ability for a season. This we ask through the intercession of St. Philip of Punxsutawney. Amen.

We’re camped out with my parents this weekend for the snowstorm, a Lee family tradition we hold fast to every chance we get. My dad piloted his drone earlier today over the area. He snapped some cool photos.

till the shadows lengthen
and the evening comes
and the busy world is hushed
and the fever of life is over

Then in your mercy,
grant us a safe lodging

and peace at last.”

I'm deeply concerned with Don Lemon's arrest last night in conjunction with his recent coverage of a protest in a Minnesota church. This arrest isn't the right way of doing things and we all deserve better because of the precedence it sets.

You see, I already know the ending.
Good wins.
Peace prevails.
The dragon is slayed
and the sword is raised.

But first we must go through
the part of the story where
the plot has not yet twisted.
The battle is not yet won.
The storm is raging.
The tower is locked.
The apple is poisoned.
The wolf is ready and waiting
in bed, wearing grandmother’s
clothing.

But I already know the ending.
I already know the ending.
