Today's the day - the LOFAR Two-metre Sky Survey is done! Huge congratulations to the entire team. Honoured to have been (a very small) part of it. If you haven't yet started using LOFAR as your go-to for radio in the Northern hemisphere, you are missing out!

The first is from Emmy Escott, showing the first LOFAR sub-arcsecond resolution image of the Boötes field. She shows a connection between radio emission and kpc-scale outflows of ionised gas! arxiv.org/abs/2602.05318

Had a great time last week at the Development in Africa with Radio Astronomy (DARA) MScR symposium last week watching my students and others around the UK give presentations on their work! And since we were at Jodrell Bank of course we got a telescope tour :)

Dr Victoria Fawcett, of @newcastleuni.bsky.social, has been named as the winner of the 2025 Caroline Herschel Prize Lectureship, awarded by the Herschel Society and RAS.
Her lecture topic will be: 'Unveiling the secrets of hidden supermassive black holes'.
Very honoured to be giving this year’s Caroline Herschel prize lecture on dusty black holes! ✨
