Everytime I see people talk about Chloe Life Is Strange they hate her and she puts them off of the game. Yet the newest game seems to be using her as a "break glass in case of emergency"

Beloved and loathed, her popularity with the fandom being the inverse outside of it.

It's kind of funny.

Iconoclasts is one of my favorite indie games of all time.

It's lengthy but earns it, the writing is incredibly layered, it takes an open and honest approach to all of its characters regardless of the faction they're aligned with, and it even has some Gunstar Heroes DNA in it.

Loved the ending.

I'm still baffled that they had the perfect tee-up that was 7 and took advantage of... None of that.

Bad remakes, bizarre rewrites, hiring multiple sex-pests despite having most of their games take a clear stance against it, Ichiban being made the face of Pre-order dlc etc etc.

Darksiders 2 (2012)

Honestly I like this one less everytime I play it. Death bounces off of everyone really well, you get a ton of world-building, and combat is fast.

Something's off about enemy interaction though. And the pacing is HORRIBLE. Same goal, endlessly divided.

I still think it's funny that RE1 still doesn't have a canon playable plotline despite the remake and multiple re-rereleases.

2 had a pretty reasonable order of events you could do and make the entire game fit in with the rest but then the remake actively breaks it.

The quasi souls-like format also helps the in-game economy.

Seriously you have like eighty kajillion gold for most of Darksiders 2 since buying weapons and armor is pointless aside from sacrifice fodder. Which you won't really be doing until you hit the level cap.

Darksiders 3 (2018)

I always thought this one was a little overhated. The other Darksiders are just as unoriginal. While Fury doesn't control as sleek as Death, the game makes up for it by actually having level design, and an actual plot. The whip is crazy fun as a former threaded cane main.
