I had a similar problem on fedora when i tried launching it through the shortcut if you open it through terminal it'll prolly be fine. In any case you can opt to get the flatpak version instead and you should be fine
I think it should be on the default repository or you can just download the .deb from the website itself it's rly easy
I cannot be happier that I've been rocking linux for the past whoever knows how long but I am very annoyed that now I have to figure out how to swap my drives to get linux on my 2tb rather than my 500gb ssd
