Just read the response from Costco to shareholders requesting it back down from DEI. It was glorious. It begins "Our Board has considered this proposal and believes … an enterprise rooted in respect and inclusion is appropriate and necessary." and gets better. A happy investor #diversityandinclusion

So important to remember.
I’ve been working for over 25 years to find ways to help students find a love for reading and it wasn’t until I recognized and acknowledged the complexity of students experiences with reading, that I started doing a better job.
And then use their new understanding to analyze, evaluate, rank, and then improve the thesis statements they had already written in groups. Worked pretty well, and even served to help them understand why the ChatGPT “model” was not practical for the AP Lit exam. Good conversation. #edusky
Many of them already are very familiar with ChatGPT, so I decided early on to show them how to use it ethically and to actually help them. Today, actually, I used it to generate a thesis statement for an #APLit prompt. We analyzed the prompt, using criteria we developed for effective theses #edusky
