Press release - New Chair appointed to lead the Association of British Paediatric Nurses 24th October 2025 The Association of British Paediatric Nurses (ABPN) is delighted to announce the appointment of Jean Davies as the new Chair to lead the Association and ensure high standards of governance in line with charity commission requirements. Jean has extensive experience in clinical practice, education and leadership roles across Wales and Scotland, as well as engagement with professional nursing and medical organisations at national, UK and international level. Jean had joined the Association leadership team in October 2024 as Deputy chair. "It is an honour and privilege to have been appointed to the position of ABPN Chair. My responsibilities to the ABPN, its President, officers and members will be carried out with great care and dedication. My aim is to work closely with all those who impact on the lives of babies, children, young people and their families. In my role as ABPN Chair I will provide effective leadership and will work tirelessly with colleagues to highlight how care and service improvements are achievable through effective and active listening to ABPN members and the children, young people and families we care for" Dr Jean A.
