We had a place in Mazatlan MX and twice during their Carnival they burned him in effigy during their “burning of bad humors”. Wish I had pics. One of the prior years they burned a tortilla because of raise in prices. Lol. So he was right up there with tortillas. Lol
I’ve no idea about the rest of the country but my state of WA, property taxes are by county and totally a county/state thing. It mostly pays for schools and public libraries. Our roads are gas taxes (which are high). So how do Feds have anything to do with property taxes?

During Covid I happened to be going through chemo and some ding dong came and sat super close to me,(unmasked) at an IKEA in a mail order type line. Maybe I shouldn’t have been there, but I was masked and distancing. I definitely shooed him away.
My husband and a friend were on those trains too. Standing room only both ways.
