Walking to school is already a common practice in many European cities. BUT, numbers could be higher if routes to school were safer for children.

🚨 No pavement parking or parking on double yellow lines - especially around schools - what is wrong with people?!

🚨 Smaller and less deadly cars - you are 8x more likely to kill someone in an SUV, and far less likely to see a child in front of you.
It's Beep Beep Day a road safety campaign by Brake to increase young children's awareness of road dangers and how to keep themselves safe.
🚨 But I think we need a shift from putting the responsibility onto young people and pedestrians and start making our streets safer.

🛍 Pedestrianised or more walkable streets lead to more money spent in local shops.
