Kalliope (Xaela, Au Ra) is seen a bit out of focus as she reads a passage from the book in her hand, "But now a cry went up, passing up the wind from the south from vale to vale, and Elezen and Men--" her voice is distant as she speaks. Verse (Duskwight, Elezen) is more in focus, seen with his head in his hand, watching Kalliope rather than listening. His eye shines and his face is a look of blissful happiness. The text by his head says "totally not listening" with an arrow pointing at him. (She is reading an excerpt from the Silmarillion, adjusted for ffxiv terms.)

Kalliope is now more in focus, she has paused her reading and is looking over at Verse as she says, "Verse, are you even listening? You asked me to read this out to you..." Verse is still seen looking adoringly at Kalliope as he speaks, "I'm sorry, my lady. It's hard to pay attention when your beauty is so captivating and your voice so soothing."

The scene changes, Kalliope is now hiding her face behind her book to hide her flush, steam rising from her head as she overheats in embarrassment. Verse is now sitting up a bit more with an absolute shit-eating grin on his face as he says, "For a moment I thought I had somehow made my way into the heaven and was being serenaded by an angel."

Verse is a love-sick puppy and a terrible flirt.
