I don't disagree with that. Microsoft had a similar problem with people storing decryption keys in places that could be subject to subpoenas. It should have been more forceful in warning users about this kind of thing, though I don't think it shares full blame over a skill issue.
I mean, yeah, I'd say the internet is unfortunately a giant surveillance machine and if you want real privacy it requires taking some extra steps. Which I agree sucks.

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.
