Sending all my prayers and thoughts your way
Nice! I want to get to this at some point since I liked the first one so much.
The logo for Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf can be seen at the top β οΈ The narrative is structured better in the sequel and it's a more adventurous sci-fi story, like something out of Star Wars. Lana and Mui deal with a new threat while also discovering long-forgotten secrets. β οΈ I feel the hand-painted art style is clearer and retains the same beauty as the first game. There's a lot more detail in the backgrounds of various biomes. β οΈ The soundtrack expands on the original game and enhances the story and the cinematic experience with a bigger orchestra. Sound effects are incredible. β οΈ Since Lana is now older, this affects the gameplay greatly as she can wall jump, dive underwater, and even slide while sprinting. It really helps make the platforming sections more exciting. β οΈ One of my favorite improvements is that Mui has a larger range with commands, and it plays a deeper role in helping out with puzzles in cool new ways. β οΈ Puzzles in general aren't as difficult as before. They are also more dynamic and not as repetitive. β οΈ There are 10 secret holograms to find that piece together the hidden, true history of the planet. β οΈ The accessibility hasn't improved much, but I had a better experience with this game since there isn't any QTEs or button mashing to kill my poor wrist. βοΈ The game's finale explained a lot of things, but I felt it ended on a cliffhanger too abruptly.
Planet of Lana II is an excellent sequel that improves on the original game in various ways, although I found the length to be the same - around 6 hours long. It brings in fresh new ideas for an even greater cinematic experience and more truths about the past.
This is my review for...
Did you try turning it off and back on again?
Seriously though, that sucks.
Picture of the Platinum Trophy for Highguard.
Yes, I stayed up way too late, but I am now officially part of the 0.3% of players who got the Platinum Trophy in Highguard.
Film poster for βHamnetβ. A man and woman are seen embracing in the woods.
16th Film Watched in 2026 - Hamnet (2025)
This film had me in a weepy mess by the time the credits rolled. What a beautiful, heartbreaking, and meaningful story packed with stellar performances and true heart. And this might have the best film ending of the decade???
It must suck to not enjoy things.
Nintendo be seeing those tariffs and going like
I absolutely adore this game and Iβm so glad itβs becoming available to a wider audience β€οΈ
An edit button would do WONDERS here.
And it will be remade on every PlayStation platform until the end of time π€£
My pun-loving brain read this and the first thing I thought was βTomorrowindβ. π€£
This is a solid list! I think I would have a few of the same picks (our #1 is the same!), but I would also probably put Dishonored and Metal Gear Solid 4 on there.
It's time for my next console top 10! Only a few more before I unveil my top 25 games of all time.
While most of my PS3 faves were multiplatform, there are a few genuine all-timers that were exclusive and made this list. You can probably guess one of them.

Thank you! Itβs definitely disorienting, which I think is intentional.
Sharing this again for the evening crowd!
I reviewed a neat little indie game about exploring a home and solving logic puzzles, and itβs free to play on Steam! Well worth checking out if youβre a fan of games like Gone Home or What Remains of Edith Finch.
Everybody I know who has played this has raved about it! I think youβre in for a good time.
I need a new βmeal showβ, so maybe Iβll check one of these out.
I need to watch more anime because I havenβt heard of any of these π
Itβs crazy how many free single-player indies come out every week on Steam! Been building up a small collection of them I plan to play/review between bigger games.
Sorry itβs not Deck compatible π’
PC only is so hard to keep a grasp on, especially due to how many different avenues there are for smaller indie games like this to release.
Pretty sure I know what game youβre speaking about. Donβt know if Iβm supposed to say the name since I think its themes are supposed to be a surprise? π€·ββοΈ
12 Memory Lane is a home exploration game in the style of Gone Home or What Remains of Edith Finch, but with unique logic puzzle elements.
Hereβs my review

My grandfather was a Reverend for three decades and also a semi-famous jigsaw puzzle maker.
It's time for my first gaming roundup of 2026! I have several games that I haven't given any blog updates yet, and it's time to rectify that.
Today I have my impressions of Mewgenics and Cairn. I also have a mini-review of Planet of Lana. Check it out!

Every time I hear someone talk about Mewgenics I swear it sounds crazier and crazier lol
Friendly reminder to never compare your journey to others. You never know how much time, money, luck, or experience some creators have. Focus on your little victories instead.
Thank you!
For me, itβs tension. The most effective games in the genre know how to keep you on edge and sustain that feeling of βI donβt know whatβs coming nextβ rather than turning to jump scares and shootouts.
Some enemies just donβt understand the therapeutic effect of a butt touch π€£
